WHY GO ON A PARIS WALK
Excellent value. Two hours of enjoyment discovering Paris at a gentle pace for 25€ is great value.
Walking is the best way to see Paris.
Learn about Paris We go slowly so that we can go deeper and get beyond the superficial tourist view.
The personality of our guides They bring wit and enthusiasm to their tours. They have done personal and extensive research and take pleasure in communicating this
Your fellow walkers You will enjoy being in the company of other visitors who want to learn in an intelligent way about what they are looking at, understand its significance, go beyond the main tourist sights. Some will be people who live here and enjoy learning about their city with us. The insights of a local person You can ask questions and get recommendations: restaurants, specialities, books etc.
Why not just read a guidebook? You will probably do this as well, but nothing replaces a tour led by an expert guide who will look you in the eye and communicate their love of Paris and its history.
The quality of our guides Our guides are experienced professionals. Beware of companies who use ‘tour leaders’ providing only a glib, superficial patter on walkabouts for the undiscriminating tourist. On tours misleadingly advertised as ‘free’ you are expected to tip, so you will pay a similar fee for a tour given by a professional who is really knowledgeable.
Our Guides and some compliments :
Our guides are all knowledgeable, professional and qualified. They all have many years' experience as guides. They are all native English speakers but have lived in France for years, speak excellent French and know French culture well. They enjoy showing their city to visitors and sharing their expertise and enthusiasm. The tours are very informative, but also enjoyable
_______________
Thank you so much for enriching my life in Paris with all the wonderful, fascinating and educational walks and visits and courses. I find myself quoting your information every time I show visitors around! You have given me a view of Paris I could not have found otherwise. Jennie, who lived for several years in Paris.
Thank you so much to our guide for such a delightful tour of Montmartre on a chilly, rainy day - he made it so entertaining that we forgot about the weather! Thank you. Anita from Denver
Greetings Paris Walks, I got back last night after two weeks in France, most of which I spent in Paris. I was able to go on four of your walking tours and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed them. I did Hemingway's Paris, Montmartre, Marais I, and Ile St. Louis, with different guides. All were fantastic. I learned a lot about history, architecture and literature and of course some scurrilous gossip without which no walking tour would be complete. Also, as a single traveller, I was able to meet other visitors to Paris and have lunch or tea with them after the walk. Martha from Toronto
Dear Oriel and Peter, We've had a fabulous time in Paris and we've done three of your tours. We had the Private Da Vinci Code Tour with Malcolm, the Montmartre with Mary Ellen, and Marais II with Jonathan. Every tour was truly wonderful and packed with history, funny stories, great illustrations and explanations. We just wanted to let you know how you enhanced our trip. Thank you, and we can't wait to come back and do more of your tours. Sher and Josef from the USA

What the Papers Say !
The Mail on Sunday (one of Britain's most famous papers) gave our walk in Montmartre 9/10 as the best guided tour offered in Paris, the best value for money, and described the guide as "unflagging in her enthusiasm for one of the most beautiful villages in Paris". The journalist reported a customer as having said "Even in the rain this was great. I'm going to do another walk tomorrow."
